That’s right Dexter fans, the first piece of casting news has finally arisen with the addition of Ray Stevenson to the seventh season, TVLine reports.
Best know for his roles in Rome and Punisher: Warzone, Stevenson has joined the cast in a major role for the upcoming season.
He will play the role of a senior member of an Easter-European crime ring who arrives in Miami seeking revenge for the death of one of his associates. There are no reports as yet as to whether this character will be the new major villain.
The writers of Dexter have promised a big “change up” to the show so it will be interesting to see how Stevenson’s character will fit in to events. If the muscular Irishman is the new baddie then Dexter certainly has his work cut out for him as he balances his professional and private lives.

I think Stevenson is an excellent choice. He was brilliant in Rome, and hopefully he can bring that quality to the show that fans expect of it.
